CuZn43Pb2Al is a copper-zinc-lead alloy with a duplex α- and β-phase structure containing a dispersion of fine lead particles, and Aluminum to tarnish resistance of the alloy and is highly suitable for hot formed parts. It is a very good alloy for use in profiles which provide complex shapes or very thin walls, Handrails, Decorative Profiles, Standard Angles, Standard T sections, Standard Channels, Trim & Flooring Profiles and Ironmongery Profies.

Due to the alloying of Al CuZn43Pb2Al has a golden yellow colour. Common name is Architectural “Bronze” also know as Architectural Brass This group of alloys is used for production of profiles by hot extrusion. Aluminium imparts a golden lustre, avoiding need for further polishing. The alloys with more than 1.6% Pb have very good machinability.
Generally supplied as extruded / as manufactured.
